Seahawks Split Weekend Contests - Dec. 27, 2009

The St. Stephen Seahawks closed out 2009 splitting their weekend contests. On Friday Night the Seahawks hosted the AQ Molson Thunder and won the home game contest 8-3.

Adam Nelson, Jeff Gregor and Justin Roy each had a pair of goals for the Seahawks while Jeremy Turgeon and Sean Turner each picked up a goal. Nick Nozzolillo picked up the win in goal stopping 25 of 28 shots.

On Sunday the Seahawks travelled to Nackawic to take on the Hawks and dropped the contest 6-3. The Hawks held period leads of 2-0 and 2-1.

Adam Nelson, Jeff Gregor and Andrew Moffitt scored for the Seahawks and Nick Nozzolillo took the loss in goal while facing 39 Hawks shots.

The Seahawks resume play on January 3rd when they travel to Saint John to take on the AQ Molson Thunder while their next home game is slated for January 8th when they welcome the Thunder.
